NEWS UPDATE – Callsign JW2T will be used for CQ WPX SSB contest.

FEBRUARY 21, 2021 – During the CQ WPX SSB contest (March 27-28, 2021), look for Stian, LB5SH to be active from Svalbard as JW/LB5SH. Stian says:

I will arrive one or two days prior to the contest and operate on SSB and FT8 as much as I can. There’s also a chance I will use a shorter call during the contest – details regarding this will follow shortly. I know JW can be challenging from certain locations so I’m open for scheduling QSOs if someone wants this.

JW / LB5SH . Stian dit:

J’arriverai un ou deux jours avant le concours et opérerai autant que possible sur SSB et FT8. Il est également possible que j’utilise un appel plus court pendant le concours –
des détails à ce sujet suivront sous peu. Je sais que JW peut être difficile à partir de certains endroits, je suis donc ouvert à la planification de QSO si quelqu’un le souhaite.

NEWS UPDATE – On February 13, Alexey returned to Progress Station from Vostok. He plans to remain there until March 24, then one more return to both Novolazarevskaya base and Bellingshausen base before finally leaving Antarctica.

DECEMBER 28, 2020 – Alexey has been active as RI01ANT since December 26. Activity tends to be on FT8; 40-30-17m. A reminder that he is active from Progress and Vostok research stations (not at the same time!) until end of May 2021.

DECEMBER 3, 2020 – First reported a few days ago (see below), RX6A/MM has been taking advantage of decent radio propagation of late and is QRV on 10-12 & 17m FT8 when time permits. The ice-breaker is making steady progress to Progress – see here.

NOVEMBER 29, 2020 – Alexey, RX6A will soon be working at Progress and Vostok stations in Antarctica. Approximate schedule is:

• December 1 to 20, 2020 as RX6A/MM on board ice-breaker Akademik Trshnikov.
• December 25, 2020 to May 30, 2021 – activity as RI01ANT from Progress and Vostok throughout this period.

QRV on CW and FT8, 40-15m; 50w.

MISE À JOUR DES NOUVELLES – Le 13 février, Alexey est retourné à Progress Station depuis Vostok. Il compte y rester jusqu’au 24 mars, puis un autre
retournez à la fois à la base de Novolazarevskaya et à la base de Bellingshausen avant de finalement quitter l’Antarctique.

28 DÉCEMBRE 2020 – Alexey a été actif en utilisant l’indicatif RI01ANT depuis le 26 décembre.
FT8; 40-30-17m. Un rappel qu’il est actif depuis les stations de recherche Progress et Vostok (pas en même temps!) Jusqu’à fin mai 2021.

03 DÉCEMBRE 2020 – Signalé pour la première fois il y a quelques jours (voir ci-dessous), RX6A / MM a profité d’une radio décente
propagation tardive et QRV sur 10-12 & 17m FT8 lorsque le temps le permet. Le brise-glace progresse régulièrement vers Progress – voir
ICI.

29 NOVEMBRE 2020 – Alexey, RX6A travaillera bientôt à
Progress et Vostok stations en Antarctique. Approximatif
le calendrier est:

• Du 1er au 20 décembre 2020 en tant que RX6A / MM à bord du brise-glace Akademik Trshnikov.
• 25 décembre 2020 au 30 mai 2021 – activité en tant que RI01ANT de Progress et Vostok tout au long de cette période.

QRV en CW et FT8, 40-15m; 50w.
