Special event stations will be on air during the FT8DMC Activity Days from 1. to 31. July 2020. All stations will bear the FTDMC or FTDM suffix, referring to the third anniversary of the FT8 Digital Mode Club.

The challenge for 2021: Should we plan for an in-person convention in Visalia or a Virtual meeting? Everyone wants to hold out hope for a face-to-face meeting next year but we
have to ask, “What will our “new normal” lifestyle be like next April and can we guarantee a “Covid-Free” environment for our attendees?” After consultation with a few medical
experts, epidemiologists, and long-time attendees of IDXCC, we have concluded that for 2021, the right choice — and the safest choice — is to have a
Virtual Convention instead of an in-person meeting.

Miguel, W1SRR has announced he is deploying to Guantanamo Bay in mid-June 2020 and staying for up to a year. He will be operating as KG4MA when time permits; look for him on SSB and Digi, possibly slow CW. QSL info to follow.

Due to the information about restrictions on crossing the Danish border for foreigners, I decided to resist from traveling to Iceland and postponing the trip to 2021. I have no
guarantee that I will be admitted to Denmark because foreigners who can cross this border are only those working there, who have the appropriate document or members of Danish
families. The regulations mention nothing about the guarantee of entry into their country of persons who have bought ferry tickets from their territory.
These restrictions are binding for Poles until August 31, 2020 and our departure was to take place from Denmark on July 21, 2020.

En raison des informations sur les restrictions de franchissement de la frontière danoise pour les étrangers, j’ai décidé de ne pas voyager en Islande et de reporter le voyage à 2021. Je n’ai pas
garantir que je serai admis au Danemark parce que les étrangers qui peuvent traverser cette frontière ne sont que ceux qui y travaillent, qui ont le document approprié ou les membres de
des familles. Le règlement ne mentionne rien sur la garantie d’entrée dans leur pays des personnes qui ont acheté des billets de ferry sur leur territoire.
Ces restrictions sont contraignantes pour les Polonais jusqu’au 31 août 2020 et notre départ devait avoir lieu du Danemark le 21 juillet 2020.

In conjunction with GM6NX and DX-World.net, on June 9th (Tuesday) all J20DX team members (EA3NT, MM0NDX & MM0OKG) will livestream to the GM6NX YouTube channel giving the finer details they encountered on this nightmare trip. Although the DXpedition never happened there’s still an interesting story to tell, so this will be an open and honest account of their woes as well as a tour through some photos and movies.

After our expedition to Palestine E44CC in February 2020, the F6KOP team decided to prepare the future expedition for January 2021.
We inform our entire amateur radio community several months in advance, in order to avoid, as last year, that a team decides to organize an expedition in the same place a few weeks before us.
So if the borders are open after COVID-19, so that we can travel safely, F6KOP will be active in January 2021 from Guinea Conakry 3XY on the island of KASSA IOTA AF 051.
We will be QRV all band from 10 to 160 meters with maybe the 60 meters in CW SSB RTTY and FT8, with 5 stations, 3 beams, several verticals, receiving antennas.
We will give you more details very soon about the operators and the callsign we will use for this new adventure. Thank you in advance for your collaboration to the success KASSA 2021.
