ATLANTYKRON 2025

Starting on 01 till 08 August 2025 on Stone Island, members of Asociația RadioȘtiința, YO9KBZ, affiliated to EURAO, will be part of Atlantykron Science Summer Academy. Altlantykron is a youth educational summer camp, organised for the first time in 1990. Atlantykron is known as a fun, exciting and unique learning experience with a curriculum developed around science, art, sport and culture.

The Academy takes place on an island on the Danube river near the village and ancient Roman ruins of Capidava in Romania. A remote and wild island for most of the year is transformed into a special and almost magical place for ten days each summer. Visiting the island are hundreds of youth and teachers from all around the world. In these ten days the youth meet, interact and learn together with famous scientists, artists, writers, and other professionals in a truly unique life and learning experience. The academy continues to change the lives of the people it touches and gives the youth knowledge and life experiences that will help them succeed in an adult world.

The participants will have the opportunity to discover the ham radio hobby and its most surprising domains of it. YP0IP and YR20EURAO (sometimes with /MM sufix) are the calls on the air during the activities at the Academy!
